COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson softball team will celebrate its 2024 senior class this weekend as the Blue Raiders host Georgetown (Ky.) for a Mid-South Conference series.

Brooklynn Ott, and
Brylee Pickerell are all set to be recognized during the team's final home conference slate, which will open with a doubleheader at 2 and 4 p.m. CST on Saturday and conclude with another set at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. CST on Sunday.
The Blue Raiders currently sit in fourth place in the Mid-South standings, sitting three games ahead of Cumberland (Tenn.) in fifth place and two games back of Campbellsville (Ky.) in third place.
Last week, Lindsey Wilson split its four-game series with Bethel (Tenn.), outscoring the Wildcats 21-20. Freshman
Natalie Wandrie compiled a team-high five hits and is actively riding a five-game hitting streak to go along with a .409 batting average over her last seven outings.
Pickerell is 13-for-36 with four doubles, three home runs and 12 runs batted-in across her last 12 appearances. She is also a perfect 4-for-4 on stolen base attempts during that span.

Kayden Murray enters the weekend as a two-time defending conference Pitcher of the Week. The freshman leads the Mid-South with 122 total strikeouts, ranks tied for third for wins, – 10 – and is 5-0 in her last five starts.
Georgetown is coming off of a split of their own against Cumberland (Tenn.). The Tigers dropped the first two games of the series before taking the next two from the Phoenix.
In conference play, Ainsley Herron and Alanna Pierce each boast 12 hits, while Stevie Shepherd's nine hits have driven in a team-best 10 runs.
As for pitching, Emma Cummings is 2-4 in six appearances against Mid-South opponents.
Lindsey Wilson and Georgetown last met in 2022, both during the regular season and in the postseason. The Blue Raiders won all five games between the two sides that year, winning by an average of six runs per game.
