Box Score BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Second-seeded Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) men's tennis ran out of gas tonight, falling 5-2 to third-seeded Cumberland (Tenn.) in the Mid-South Conference Tournament Semifinals at Warren County Tennis & Sports Facility.
The Blue Raiders (14-5) must now wait to see if they will receive an at-large bid into the NAIA National Tournament next month in Mobile, Alabama.
Cumberland (11-10-1) tallied the first point of the team match by winning the only two completed doubles matches to take the doubles point and a 1-0 lead.
Lindsey Wilson (14-5) grabbed a brief lead by winning the first two singles contests of the match.
Miquel Perez beat Adrijan Hrzic 6-1, 6-4 on court three to tie the match while Anatoliy Voloshyn defeated German Suarez 6-1, 6-1 to push the Blue Raiders in front 2-1 with a victory on court five.
While the Blue Raiders managed to push three of the final four matches to three sets, Lindsey Wilson was unable to win any of the them en route to the 5-2 loss.
NAIA officials announce the national tournament field and release the bracket on April 30.
