BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf teams sits atop the leaderboard following the first round of the Mid-South Conference Championship Monday at Bowling Green Country Club.
The Blue Raiders carded a 1-over par 289 on the par-72 5,804 yard course. Lindsey Wilson holds a 14 shot lead over Cumberlands (Ky.) in second place and Cumberland (Tenn.) is third with a 309. Lindsey Wilson recorded the most pars in the round with 54 and had the second-most birdies with 11.
Two Blue Raiders sit in first and second on the individual leaderboard.
Papatsara Niamrungrueang leads after shooting a 2-under 70.
Danielle Bekker is second after shooting 71. Niamrungrueang recorded the most birdies in the round with five while Bekker carded the most pars with 15. Niamurngrueang and Bekker were the only two golfers to record a 1-under on par 4s in the round.
Katie Biddlecombe and
Megan Mann are tied for sixth with a 76. Mann is one of four golfers that is 2-under on par 5s.
Kayla Saunders rounds out the Lindsey Wilson scoring tied for 27th with an 84.
