SILVIS, Ill. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team opened play on Tuesday at the NAIA National Championship at TPC Deere Run.
The Blue Raiders carded a 35-over par 323 on the par 72 6,059 yard course and are tied for 14th Lindsey Wilson began play on the back nine Tuesday. The Blue Raiders were +29 on the back nine and improved their score on the front nine with a +17.
Katie Biddlecombe posted the best Lindsey Wilson finish in round one a 7-over par 79 and is tied for 30th. After a bogey on 15 that put Biddlecombe at six over, she then carded a par on the next eight holes. She closed out the front nine with two bogeys, one par and one birdie to finish +1.
Danielle Bekker carded an 80 and is tied for 43rd. Bekker recorded one birdie and 11 pars in the first round.
Kayla Saunders and
Megan Mann are tied for 71st with an 82. Mann was +10 on the back nine and carded an even-par 36 on the front with a birdie.
Tara Laverty rounds out the Blue Raiders scoring with an 83 and is tied for 83rd.
The Blue Raiders are scheduled to tee off at 1:10 p.m. CT Wednesday in the second round.
