COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Former Lindsey Wilson football student-athlete Cameron Dukes led the Toronto Argonauts to a 35-27 win over British Columbia tonight in both team's season openers in the Canadian Football League.
Dukes amassed four touchdowns in his third career start for the Argos in the come-from-behind win. He finished the game completing 21 of his 27 passes for 254 yards and three passing touchdowns. Dukes added 37 rushing yards and a touchdown in the game's waning minutes to secure the win.
British Columbia led the Argos 20-16 at halftime, only to have home-standing Toronto comeback for the win.
Dukes started a pair of games last season as a backup but opened this season as the starter for the Argos.
Toronto (1-0) faces Edmonton (0-1) on Saturday, June 22.
Dukes concluded his Lindsey Wilson career with 10,443 passing yards and a program-record 114 passing touchdowns.
