COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team opened its 2024-25 season capturing the Lindsey Wilson College Fall Classic title on Tuesday at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson.
The Blue Raiders finished with an even-par 864 (293-280-291) finishing 135 shots better than runner-up Mars Hill (N.C.). Lindsey Wilson's 864 is the lowest three-round score in program history surpassing 865 which was set in August of 2022.
Lindsey Wilson held the top five spots on the individual leaderboard led by
Butpapaporn Sukterm who finished with a 9-under 207 (72-67-68). Sukterm finished with 12 birdies over the three rounds.
Tara Laverty finished runner-up with a 217 (74-69-74) finishing the tournament with 10 birdies.
Kayla Saunders (73-72-73) finished third with a 218 while
Pitchayapa Pungpho (74-72-76) placed fourth carding a 222.
Holly Murphy – competing as an individual – finished fifth with a 235 (78-82-75).
Danielle Bekker finished sixth with a 239 (75-86-78) while
Paige Gray who competed as an individual placed seventh with a 241 (82-83-76).
Kendall Hacker also competed as an individual and finished 21st with a 278.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on Monday at The City With the Spirit Fall Classic in Cleveland, Tenn.
