BREINIGSVILLE, Pa. – The Lindsey Wilson cycling team posted a sixth-place finish at the USA Cycling Collegiate Track National Championships at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center.

The Blue Raiders totaled 487 points to finish in sixth. Marian (Ind.) won the national championship with 948 points while Milligan (Tenn.) finished in second with 911.

Mateo Marasas captured a gold medal in the men's 1,000-meter time trail. Marasas captured the title in the three-lap race with a time of 1:06.09 edging out the runner-up by .271 seconds. Pedro Pussieldi recorded a seventh-place finish with a time of 1:09.054.

Marasas posted the top qualifying time in the men's spring finishing with a time of 10.494. Pussieldi also advanced in the men's spring qualifying fifth with a time of 11.160 while Jamie Quintanilla finished 13th with a time of 11.543. Jacob Kuper finished 34th. Marasas finished runner-up while Pussieldi earned a bronze medal.

Kuper posted a third-place finish in the men's scratch race minor final. He also competed in the men's points race minor final finishing ninth.

In the women's sprint qualifying, Lilly Campbell finished 25th while Emma Balding and Floriencia Haupt finished 27th and 28th, respectively.  Balding, Campbell and Haupt teamed up in the women's team pursuit and finished sixth with a time of 6:32.573

Campbell finished 25th in the women's 500-meter time trial while Haupt came in 29th. Balding finished 25th in the women's points race final.

Campbell, Haupt, Kuper, Marasas, Pussieldi and Quintanilla teamed up in the co-ed team sprint earning bronze with a time of 2:21.736.

The Blue Raiders are back in action competing at the High Country Mountain Bike Challenge in Banner Elk, North Carolina Saturday and Sunday.
