WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson archery team posted a runner-up finish at the Mid-South Conference 3D Championship Saturday.

The Blue Raiders tallied 16 podium finishes and 132 points to finish second. Cumberlands (Ky.) took home the title with 246 points while Pikeville (Ky.) finished third with 103 points.

Tanner Boyd and AJ Shagool earned podium finishes in the men's recurve individual shootdown. Boyd finished runner-up with 59 points while Shagool was third with 53 points. Wyatt Burtts and Daniel Clayton finished second and third in men's fixed pins shootdown. Sarah McCarthy earned a bronze medal in the women's barebow individual shootdown finishing with 47 points.

In men's recurve team, Boyd, Shagool and Zach Jackson took home gold. The trio earned a bye in the semifinals and defeated Cumberlands 159-150 in the finals. Ken Parsley, Parker Braddock and Gus Burtts won gold in men's compound team. They defeated Union 181-167 in the semifinals and edged out Cumberlands 179-178 in the finals. Wyatt Burtts, Clayton and Jaden Souder finished third in men's fixed pins team. The trio fell to Pikeville 169-159 before defeating Campbellsville 186-159.

Emma Kist, Sophia Hunziger and Jerzi Sharp won gold in women's team compound. They got past Pikeville 178-174 in the semifinals and defeated Cumberlands 173-167 in the finals. Madeline McGuire, Audrey Mills and MaKenna Langley finished runner-up in women's fixed pins team. After earning a bye into the semifinals, they defeated Midway 161-160 in the semifinals and fell to Cumberland 180-169 in the finals. Micah Bettersworth, Layla Blevins and Raegan McGuffey earned bronze in women's recurve team. They lost to Pikeville in the semifinals before defeating Campbellsville 159-143. McCarthy, Anastacia Godman and Morgan Wilson took bronze in in women's barebow team. The trio fell to Cumberlands in the semifinals then defeated Campbellsville 156-141.

Parsley and Kist teamed up in mixed compound team to win gold. They defeated Union in the semifinals and then took first with a victory over Cumberlands. Wyatt Burtts and McGuire finished runner-up in mixed pins team. The duo defeated Pikeville before falling to Cumberlands. Ramsey and McCarthy finished runner-up in mixed barebow team. The duo defeated Pikeville in the semifinals and fell to Cumberlands in the finals. Boyd and Bettersworth earned a bronze medal in mixed recurve team. After falling to Pikeville in the semifinals, they defeated Campbellsville to finish third.

The Blue Raiders will now begin preparations for the USA Archery 3D National Championship Oct. 3-5 in Foley, Alabama.
