MADISONVILLE, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson archery team sits in third place heading into the the final day of the Mid-South Conference Indoor Championship at the Western Kentucky Archery Complex.
The Blue Raiders tallied 78 points in the team and mixed team rounds. Lindsey Wilson tallied 10 podium finishes with one gold, two silver and seven bronze medals. The Blue Raiders sit three points behind Pikeville (Ky.) while Cumberlands holds the lead with 104 points.
Lindsey Wilson's lone gold medal came in women's team fixed pins. The trio of
Audrey Mills,
MaKenna Langley and
Madeline McGuire were seeded fourth after qualifying. They defeated top-seeded Cumberlands 234-231 in the semifinals and captured gold with a 227-221 victory over Midway.
Sophia Hunziger,
Emma Kist and
Alea Boyd finished runner-up in women's team compound. In the semifinals, they edged out Union 227-226 to advance to the finals. The trio fell short in the finals 229-226 to Cumberlands.
TJ Ramsey and
Anastacia Godman earned silver in mixed team barebow. After earning a bye into the semifinals, they defeated Cumberlands 5-4. In the gold medal match, the duo was defeated by Pikeville 6-2.
Parker Braddock, Bo Pipes and
Gus Burtts earned bronze in men's compound team,
Wyatt Burtts,
Jaden Souder and
Will Timmerman finished third in men's fixed pins team. Ramsey,
Dylan Langley and
Sean Neal earned Bronze in men's barebow team.
Tanner Boyd,
AJ Shagool and
Bronson Ormes earned bronze in men's team barebow.
Layla Blevins,
Carlee Drury and
Micah Bettersworth finished third in women's team recurve. Braddock and Hunziger finished third in mixed team compound while Boyd and Blevins posted a third-place finish in mixed team recurve.
Boyd qualified third in men's barebow with a score of 529 (263-266) with 12 10s. Shagool finished sixth in the qualifying carding a 499 (253-246) with 13 10s while Ormes was seventh with a score of 486 (234-252).
Zach Jackson finished with a 412 (246-166) to qualify 11th.
In women's recurve qualifying, Blevins carded the best scored for the Blue Raiders with a 497 (255-242) to finish eighth. Drury finished 12th with a 481 (248-233) while Bettersworth was 13th with a 478 (247-231).
Raegan McGuffey also qualified for the individual shootdown coming in 15th a 441 (217-224).
Ramsey finished third in men's barebow qualifying. Ramsey carded a 466 (226-240) while recording seven 10s.
Dylan Langley finished 12th after shooting a 318 (140-178),
Sean Neal was 13th with a 278 (139-139) and
LaQuann Williams carded a 251 (135-116) to finish 14th.
Godman qualified second in women's barebow with a 480 (241-239) and eight 10s.
Morgan Wilson finished fifth with a 435 (211-224) while
Sarah McCarthy carded a 375 (176-199 to finish 12th.
Abigayle Maderic shot a 368 (206-162) to qualify 14th.
The third and final day of the MSC Indoor Championship gets underway Sunday morning at the Western Kentucky Archery Complex.
