Archery Finishes Third at MSC Indoor Championship

MADISONVILLE, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson archery team posted a third-place finish at the Mid-South Conference Indoor Championship Sunday at the Western Kentucky Archery Complex.

The Blue Raiders tallied 117 points over the three-day event while posting a total of 14 podium finishes. Lindsey Wilson tallied three gold, three silver and eight bronze medals at the championship. Cumberlands (Ky.) took home the team title with 184 points while Pikeville (Ky.) finished runner-up with 147 points.

Parker Braddock earned a gold medal in men's compound. Braddock earned the top seed in qualifying with a score of 595 on Friday. In the first round, he defeated Campbellsville's Lance Powell 150-124. Braddock then defeated Cumberlands' Jared Laux 147-146 in the quarterfinals. He punched his ticked to the finals with a 149-146 victory over Cumberlands' Tanner Barker. Braddock captured gold with a 147-142 victory over Union's (Ky.) Chase Herndon.

Ken Parsley and Turner Nevitt also advanced to the quarterfinals in men's compound. Parsley defeated teammate Bo Pipes 146-144 while Nevitt defeated Cumberlands' Isaac Sullivan 148-147.

TJ Ramsey earned gold in men's barebow. He began his competition with a 6-0 victory over teammate LaQuann Williams and then defeated Campbellsville's Ashton Moss in the quarterfinals. Ramsey advanced to the finals with a 6-5 victory over Pikeville's John Stephens. In the finals, he defeated Cumberlands' Tyler Woolsey 6-2.

Anastacia Godman finished runner-up in women's barebow. Godman opened competition with a 6-2 victory over Cumberlands' Mikayla Clemons. She then defeated Cumberlands' Kennedy Sumpter 6-0. Godman reached the finals defeating Cumberlands' Lauren Oosterbaan 6-4 before falling to Pikeville's Allison Collinsworth in the finals.

MaKenna Langley finished third in women's fixed pins. Langley defeated Cumberlands' Camillia Gregory 148-147 in the first round. She advanced to the semifinals with a 144-143 win against Cumberlands' Kimber Wheeler. Langley was defeated by Cumberlands' Hannah Summers 146-144 in the semifinals and defeated Midway's Carrie Booth in the third-place match.

Audrey Mills reached the quarterfinals in women's fixed pins defeating Cumberlands' Hollyann Lewis 146-143 in the first round.  

Tanner Boyd posted a fourth-place finish in men's recurve. Boyd defeated teammate AJ Shagool 6-4 in the quarterfinals before falling to Pikeville's Jack Dinapoli in the semifinals. He was defeated 6-2 by Union's Kyle Coffey in the third-place match.
