Women’s basketball heads to Tennessee to take on the #9 Wildcats of Bethel

COLUMBIA, Ky.- Women's basketball heads to Tennessee to take on the #9 Wildcats of Bethel University at 5:30 pm CT at Crisp Arena.

The Blue Raiders (13-5, 1-2 MSC) are coming off their first conference win, defeating the Phoenix of Cumberland University (Tenn.) 69-67 thanks to a short corner jumper from Jarie Thomas with 0:02 on the clock. Leading the offensive brigade for Lindsey Wilson is Saniyah Shelton, averaging 18.3 points in conference play alongside 6.3 rebounds. Taylor Guess and Thomas are the other two averaging double digits in conference play with 16.3 and 11.7 points, respectively.

Bethel (16-3, 1-3 MSC) is coming off a 79-74 loss to the #16 Patriots of the University of the Cumberlands. Freshman Micah Hart is leading the offense during conference play for the Wildcats averaging 21 points. Madison Hart, Hallie Turner, and Mikee Buchanan are amongst the others averaging double figures in conference play with 14.8, 11.0, and 10.8 points per game.

This will be the 15th all-time matchup between the Bethel Wildcats and Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders with Lindsey Wilson winning the last two matchups. The last game between the two occurred on Feb. 22, 2024, with the Blue Raiders taking the 82-50 victory at Bethel.
