COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's swimming teams will host their penultimate meet of the 2024-25 regular season on Saturday when Campbellsville (Ky.) comes to town for the Highway 55 Last Chance Invitational.
"It's a last chance meet before the conference championships," says Lindsey Wilson head coach
Alicia Kemnitz. "Some of our swimmers are swimming completely off events as almost a test for conference, while others are trying to drop a little time in an event or two."
Lindsey Wilson competed last weekend at home and swept Asbury (Ky.) and Tennessee Southern on both the men's and women's side.
Maaike Broersma and
Kirsten de Goede each won three individual, while
Dario Soria earned two individual wins and swam for both of the Blue Raiders' winning relays.
Saturday's meet is broken into two sessions. The first of which begins with the 200-yard medley relay at 9 a.m. CST. Then, at 2 p.m. CST, the afternoon session opens with the 500-yard freestyle.
Live coverage of both sessions will be provided by the Lindsey Wilson Sports Network.
