COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team enters the new year on a four-game winning streak and looks to continue its success at home when the Blue Raiders host Simmons College of Kentucky at 5 p.m. CST on Friday, January 3.

The Falcons, who have not played since December 18, 2024, come to Columbia on a three-game winning streak but are winless in three previous outings against Mid-South Conference opponents.

Morgan Defoor leads Simmons in scoring, averaging 22.6 points per game. The junior is responsible for half of the Falcons 3-point field goals this season and recently became the fastest player in the program's history to score 1,000 career points. Defoor has also dished out a team-best 35 assists and ranks second for total steals.

As for Lindsey Wilson, Taylor Guess and Claire Fleming are pacing the Blue Raiders through their last four games, posting 11.8 and 11.5 points a game, respectively. The sophomore duo is thriving in their second season. Guess is up to 512 career points as her scoring average has improved by four points from last season, while Fleming's scoring mark has doubled with help from her conference-leading 51.9 3-point field goal percentage.

The Blue Raiders are 3-0 all-time versus Simmons with the most recent meeting coming back on December 3, 2019.
