COLUMBIA, Ky.- Women's basketball is set to take the hardwood 5:30 pm CT January 9, against #10 Georgetown College (Ky.) for their conference opener at Biggers Sports Center in Columbia, Ky.

Lindsey Wilson is on a five-game win streak and looks to extend their 7-0 home game win streak. The Blue Raiders most recent win came on January 3, against Simmons College (Ky.) where they posted a 95-62 victory with five players scoring in double digits. Emily Cox led the offense with 15 points while Taylor Guess, Jarie Thomas, and Grace Brewer added 14 points apiece, with Claire Fleming contributing 13 points. 

Sophomore Taylor Guess led scoring through the non-conference schedule averaging 14.3 points per game alongside 4.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists. Claire Fleming and Jarie Thomas add on another 10.9 points per game with 2.1 steals and 10.5 points per game with 1.5 blocks, respectively. 

Georgetown is off to a 14-1 start this season and on a 12-game win streak with their only loss coming on November 2 to MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) 68-61. The Tigers offense has five players scoring in double figures with Teionni McDaniel leading the way averaging 18.4 points per game while shooting 43.3 percent from beyond the arc. Trinity Klock, AJ Stevenson, Annie Watson, and Anna Long are the other Tigers in double digits contributing, 14.3, 13.1, 12.7, and 10.1 points per game. 

The last match-up between the Blue Raiders and Tigers occurred on February 3, 2024, where the Tigers took the 80-72 victory. Georgetown has won six of the last 10 match-ups. Lindsey Wilson will look to extend their five-game win streak and remain undefeated on their home court while ending the Tigers 12 game win streak and starting conference play with a win. 

Tip-off is set to happen at 5:30 pm CT at Biggers Sports Center in Columbia, Ky. followed by the men's team who will face #1 Georgetown afterwards at 7:30 pm CT.
