RICHMOND, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team sits in fourth after the first two rounds of the Gibson Bay Invitational at Gibson Bay Golf Course on Monday.
The Blue Raiders carded a 61-over-par 637 (327-310) on the par-72, 5,974-yard course. Lindsey Wilson sits six shots behind Milligan (Tenn.) in third while Cumberlands (Ky.) leads with a 609. The Blue Raiders carded the third-most biridies in the first two rounds with 13 and carded 90 pars.
Kayla Saunders is tied for 11th with a 13-over 157 (82-75). Saunders carded four birdies which is tied for the second-most in the tournament.
Tara Laverty sits in 13th with a 158 (80-78) while
Henaaz Khera – competing as an individual – is tied for 14th with a 159 (80-79).
Thanaporn Buakong carded a 161 (81-80) and is tied for 16th, while
Holly Murphy is tied for 18th with a 162 (85-77). Murphy carded five birdies in the two rounds, which are tied for the most in the tournament.
Amanda Sitohang sits tied for 21st with a 165 (84-81) and is +1 on par 5s, tied for the second-best score.
Kendall Hacker – competing as an individual - is 40th.
The final round of the Gibson Bay Invitational gets underway on Tuesday morning at Gibson Bay Golf Course.
