Women’s Wrestling Ranked Tenth in NAIA Preseason Poll

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's wrestling team begins the 2025-26 season ranked 10th in the NAIA Coaches' Preseason Top-20 Poll, the national office announced Thursday.
 
The Blue Raiders garnered 99 points in the poll to be slotted at No. 10. In its inaugural season in 2024-25, Lindsey Wilson finished third at the Mid-South Conference Championship and posted a 16th-place finish at the NAIA National Championships.
 
Nine Lindsey Wilson grapplers are ranked in their respective weight classes. Reagan Thomas checks in at ninth in the 110-pound weight class while Callie Payton is eighth at 117 pounds. Kamilah Brooks is slotted at No. 7 at 124 pounds while Sydney Bridenstine is ranked 16th. Abigail Vanderheyden is ranked 19th in the 131-pound class, while Lexi Ritchie and Brielle Bibla are ninth, and 19th in 138 pounds, respectively. Kori Campbell begins the season ranked eighth at 145 pounds. Hayeni Costa is the highest-ranked Blue Raider in the poll coming in at No. 2 in the 207-pound class.
 
Defending national champion Life (Ga.) leads all MSC schools coming in at No. 1 with 193 points. Cumberlands (Ky.) is fourth with 158 points while Indiana Tech is also in the top 10 with 116 points coming in seventh. Campbellsville (Ky.) is ranked 19th with 53 points. Lourdes (Ohio) and Montreat (N.C.) are mentioned in the receiving votes.
 
Grand View (Iowa) is slotted second with 167 points while Providence (Mont.) is third with 161 points. William Penn (Iowa) is slotted fifth with 150 points.
 
The Blue Raiders open their season on November 1 at the Tiffin Open in Tiffin, Ohio.
