Men's Golf Finishes First at MSC Fall Preview

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team took home the Mid-South Fall Golf Preview Championship on Tuesday at Bowling Green Country Club.

The Blue Raiders finished with a 6-over-par 870 (290-286-294) for the tournament, which was on the  6,729-yard par 72 course. Lindsey Wilson finished eight shots ahead of Cumberlands (Ky.).

The Blue Raiders were led by Philip Kittoff Jr., who finished tied for first with Bethel's (Tenn.) Grady Lancaster after carding a 218 (74-73-71). Kittoff Jr. and Lancaster each recorded a par on the first two playoff holes. Lancaster recorded a birdie on hole three while Kittoff Jr. recorded a par. He finished his tournament with nine birdies, while also finishing tied for first in par-5 scoring, averaging 4.50 strokes. The freshman was also only one of two golfers to card an eagle in the tournament. 

James Gibb finished his tournament tied for third after carding a 219 (71-69-79). Gibb's 11 birdies were tied for first in the tournament. Gibb also was tied for first place in par-5 scoring, averaging 4.50 strokes. Scott Newman - competing as an individual - finished tied for third place after carding a 219 (74-73-72). Newman finished tied for third in par-4 scoring, averaging 4.10 strokes.

Stanley White ended his tournament tied for sixth after carding a 220 (70-73-77). White led the tournament in par-3 scoring, averaging 2.83 strokes. White finished his tournament with nine birdies recorded. Polakrit Pawichai finished in 11th after shooting a 222 (75-71-76). Pawichai carded 39 pars, which led the tournament. Toby White finished tied for 15th after carding a 225 (78-77-70). White recorded nine birdies in the tournament. Magnus Maahr - competing as an individual - ended in a tie for 24th after recording a 230 (79-74-77). Maahr finished with 37 pars recorded, tied for the second most in the field. 

The Blue Raiders now break for the winter before resuming their season in the spring.
