BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team posted a runner-up finish at the Mid-South Conference Fall Preview on Tuesday at Bowling Green Country Club.
The Blue Raiders carded a 79-over-par 943 (318-320-305) on the par-72, 5,869-yard course and finished six shots behind Cumberlands (Ky.). Lindsey Wilson's 305 in the third round was a tournament low. The Blue Raiders finished the tournament with the second-most birdies (15) and the second-most pars with 150.
Tara Laverty finished with a 14-over par 230 (74-82-74) and finished one shot behind Cumberland's (Tenn.) Matilda Lind. Lavery led the tournament with seven birdies and posted the second-best score on par 3s at -2.
Kayla Saunders tied for fourth with a 232 (80-79-73). Saunders finished the tournament with four birdies and had the fourth-most pars with 32.
Thanaporn Buakong carded a 241 (81-81-79), finishing tied for 10th, while
Henaaz Khera finished 13th with a 243 (84-78-81).
Holly Murphy finished tied for 18th, carding a 248 (83-86-79), and
Amanda Sitohang, who was competing as an individual, tied for 20th with a 249 (90-83-76).
Kendall Hacker – competing as an individual – finished in 42nd.
The Blue Raiders now break for the winter before resuming their season in the spring
