COLUMBIA, Ky.- The women's basketball team laces up to host the U.C. Bank Classic, facing Reinhardt (Ga.) on Friday at 7 P.M. CT and the University of Tennessee Southern at 3 P.M. on Saturday in Biggers Sports Center. 

Lindsey Wilson is off to a  3-1 start on the season with its most recent match-up coming against the Grizzlies of Georgia Gwinnett in a 57-54 loss. Meadow Tisdale and Amelia Hodges pace the Blue Raider offense averaging 14.8 points per game and 12.8 ppg, respectively. Tisdale also leads in rebounding with 8.0 a game, alongside Saniyah Shelton who posts 7.8 rebounds and 4.25 assists. 

As a team, the LWU offense is outscoring opponents 312 to 230, while posting 78.0 points a game and holding the competition to 57.5. Knocking down 117-of-258 shots from the field, Lindsey Wilson boasts a .453 field-goal percentage and finds itself connecting on 57-of-79 from the charity stripe for a .722 free throw percentage. 

Reinhardt sits at 2-2 to start the season with a  79-62 win over Tennessee Wesleyan under their belt headed into tonights contest. I'Ziah McCutchins, and Emariah Garrett head the offense averaging 12.8 and 10.3 points per game, respectively. Collectively, the Eagles have made 48-of-131 shots, yielding a .366 field-goal percentage and  capitalized on 25-of-36 chances at the free throw line for a .694 free throw percentage. 

Tonight's meeting marks the fourth competition between the two programs, with Lindsey Wilson leading 2-1. December 16, 2018 marks the last meeting of the teams with the Blue Raiders taking the 67-65 victory. Each contest has been decided by five points or less. 

The Firehawks of Tennessee Southern hold a 4-0 record with its most recent victory coming in a 65-62 overtime win over Cumberland (Tenn.). Ashley Dickey, Ramie Reid, Lauren Smith, and Silkiari Vazquez-Troche all post double-digit scoring for the Firehawks with 17.5, 13.8, 11.3, and 10.3 points per game, respectively. Smith also leads the rebounds column averaging 9.0 a game. UT Southern averages 71.8 ppg, holding opponents to 61.8 for a +10.0 scoring margin. The Firehawks shoot .371 from the field and .244 from behind the arc, alongside a .759 free throw percentage.

Lindsey Wilson leads 10-4 in all-time meetings, with the most recent contest occurring on January 19, 2023 in Columbia where LWU took the victory in a 50-46 battle. 

Women's hoops will tip-off on Friday at 7 P.M. against Reinhardt and Saturday at 3 P.M. against UT Southern in the UC Bank Classic inside Biggers Sports Center.
