ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Lindsey Wilson women's wrestling team went 3-1 at the Lindenwood Duals on Sunday.
Lindsey Wilson 21 – Quincy 23
Skyler Randolph got the dual started with a first-period pin of Mackenzie Graves at 103 pounds before Trinity Pendergrass (No. 7 in NCAA at 110 pounds) pinned Emma Beauknight to tie the match.
Callie Payton (No. 5 in NAIA at 117 pounds) gave the Blue Raiders the lead with a 4-2 decision over Alexandra Tchekounova in the 117-pound bout. Quincy retook the lead after a pin at 124 pounds.
Jelia Ramos picked up a 10-0 tech fall at 131 pounds over Jasmine Hopkins, while Lexie Ritchie (No. 20 at 131 pounds) earned a 10-9 decision over Madeline Barton (No. 8 in NCAA at 138 pounds) at 138 pounds.
Kori Campbell (No. 6 at 145 pounds) picked up a 10-2 decision at 145 pounds. Quincy earned a tech fall and a pin at 160 and 180 pounds.
Cheyenne Cruce earned a 5-2 decision over Trinity White at 207 pounds.
Lindsey Wilson 36 – Simpson 13
The Blue Raiders won the first six weight classes with four pins and two forfeits. After a forfeit at 103 pounds,
Reagan Thomas (No. 12 at 110 pounds) pinned Sophia Miller in the first period.
Grace Lashinsky (No. 16 at 117 pounds) pinned Layla Phillips (No. 9 in NCAA at 117 pounds) and
Kamilah Brooks (No. 6 at 124 pounds) won by injury forfeit over Ashley Cannon (No. 9 in NCAA at 124 pounds). Ramos and Ritchie earned back-to-back pins at 131 and 148 pounds, respectively. Simpson closed out the dual winning three of the final four weight classes, with
Hayeni Costa (No. 3 at 207 pounds) recording a pin at 207.
Lindsey Wilson 31 – Illinois Wesleyan 15
Lindsey Wilson the first five bouts of the dual. Randolph earned a 10-0 tech fall at 103 pounds while Beauknight recorded a pin at 110 pounds. Payton, Brooks, and Ramos all earned 10-0 tech falls at 117, 124, and 131 pounds. Illinois Wesleyan then picked up three pins at 138, 145, and 160 pounds.
Mallory Ladd and Costa each recorded a pin at 180 and 207 pounds.
Lindsey Wilson 26 – Wayland Baptist 18
Randolph was defeated by Calli Connally (No. 7 in NAIA at 103 pounds) 10-0 at 103 pounds before the Blue Raiders rattled off five straight wins. Beauknight earned an 11-0 tech fall at 110 pounds while Lashinsky picked up an 11-1 tech fall in the 117-pound bout.
Brooks, Ramos, and
Aenaya Vines earned pins at 124, 131, and 138 pounds. Wayland Baptist then won at 145, 160, and 180 pounds with two tech falls and a pin. Costa picked up a 9-6 decision over Leilani Sanchez at 207 pounds.
Lindsey Wilson is back in action on Friday for day one of the Missouri Valley Open in Marshall, Missouri.
