Blue Raiders Compete in Campbellsville Classic Friday and Saturday

COLUMBIA, Ky.- Women's basketball travels to Campbellsville, Kentucky, to face Pikeville (Ky.) on Friday at 4 P.M. CT and Virginia Lynchburg on Saturday at noon inside the Powell Athletic Center. 

Lindsey Wilson sits at 7-2 after a 77-65 victory over the previously No.15-ranked Oregon Tech on Monday. The Blue Raiders are led on the offensive end by Meadow Tisdale who averages 15.7 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Saniyah Shelton contributes 9.8 points with 7.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists a contest. 

As a team, the Blue Raiders average 75.2 points an outing on 41.2 percent from the field, 27.8 percent from behind the arc, and 74.5 percent from the charity stripe. Lindsey Wilson is pulling down 42.8 rebounds per game, averaging 16.3 offensive boards.

Pikeville is on a five-game winning streak, holding a 5-1 record, with its most recent victory coming against Union Commonwealth (Ky.), 88-68. Allie Stone heads the offense with 15.4 points and 3.0 assists a night. Hallie Collins contributes 14.5 points with 9.5 boards per game. Jaaliyah Warren and Anika Stehbens round out the double-figure scoring with 13.5 points apiece. 

Virginia Lynchburg enters the weekend with an 0-7 record. The Dragons were last in action on Tuesday, falling to Shaw (N.C.) 68-57. Lovely Tua-Link led Virginia Lynchburg with 14 points while Princess Akojenu recorded a double-double with 12 points and 19 rebounds. The Dragons average 52 points per game while allowing 83.3.  

Women's hoops will tip at 4 P.M. CT against Pikeville on Friday and at noon on Saturday against Virginia Lynchburg inside the Powell Athletic Center.
