WILMORE, Ky. – Inside the Luce Center Pool, the Blue Raider women's swimming team won 12 of 13 events to finish off a dominant victory over Asbury (Ky.) on Saturday.
Kirsten de Goede and
Nathalie Medina both went three-for-three in their individual events. De Goede, making her season debut, coasted to wins in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyles. Each of her times – 24.31, 53.62, and 1:56.85 – met NAIA provisional standards.
Medina got back first at 2:16.76 to clinch the 200 individual medley and added national cuts to take both the 100 (1:00.12) and 200 butterflies (2:15.06).
Natalia Gorska swept the 100 and 200 backstrokes. The shorter of her two victories came with an NAIA provisional time of 1:00.75, while her 200-yard time clocked at 2:15.12.
Sara Motyl won both breaststroke events, starting at 1:09.36 in the 100-yard race before finishing at 2:34.31 to seal the 200-yard.
Emma Johansson claimed Lindsey Wilson's last individual win of the day with a time of 5:53.48 in the 500 freestyle.
The Blue Raiders' team of
Alejandra Martinez, Motyl, Gorska, and de Goede closed the meet on a season-best 1:40.49 to win the 200 freestyle relay.
Lindsey Wilson is back to conclude its fall semester on November 20-22 at the Total Performance Invitational, hosted by Kenyon College (Ohio), in Gambier, Ohio.
