DANVILLE, Ky. – Six Blue Raider men's swimmers claimed All-conference honors on day two of the Mid-South Conference swimming and diving championships on Friday.

Fabio Martin Rojo secured his second gold medal in as many days by winning the 200-yard freestyle. The senior overcame an early deficit in the race and willed his way to the wall first by 0.17 seconds ahead of second place. Martin Rojo's triumph is his first career conference title in the 200-yard freestyle and seventh overall. He joins Calvin Coetzee in 2020 as the only Blue Raider men to win a Mid-South championship in the event.

In the 100-yard breaststroke, Clinton Eales and Dan Spinola finished second and third, respectively, separated by just 0.16 seconds. The duo also earned second-team All-conference honors alongside Dario Soria and Azahn Hicks in the 200-yard medley relay earlier in the evening.

Sergio Ybarra locked up another individual All-conference effort in the 400-yard individual medley and posted a new school record in the process. His time of 3:59.66 becomes the first under four minutes in program history.

Lindsey Wilson ended the day with a runner-up finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay. Eales, Martin Rojo, Soria, and Ybarra touched the wall at 6:52.33.

Heading into the final day of competition, the Blue Raiders hold steady in second place.

Day three of the Mid-South Conference championships begin at 9 a.m. CST on Saturday, February 8 inside Champions Hall. The morning session includes the finals of the 1,650-yard freestyle, but all other finals, including the 200-yard backstroke, 200-yard breaststroke, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard butterfly, and 400-yard freestyle relay, will occur in the evening session.
