COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 6-ranked men's tennis team and the No. 3-ranked women's tennis team return to action this afternoon at 2 p.m. CT, Wednesday, March 19, as they host McPherson (Kan.) at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
The Blue Raider men (6-3) look to build on their momentum after a 6-1 win over No. 22 Oakland City (Ind.) last week. Lindsey Wilson claimed the doubles point before securing five singles victories in straight sets. McPherson (6-4) comes into the contest following a 7-0 loss to No. 16 Cumberlands (Ky.). The Bulldogs will be looking for revenge after last season's NAIA National Championship first-round clash, where Lindsey Wilson earned a 4-1 victory. That meeting remains the only one between the two programs.
The Blue Raider women (7-2) enter today's matchup after a dominant 7-0 sweep over Oakland City. Lindsey Wilson took the doubles point and won all six singles matches in straight sets. McPherson (7-4) also fell to Cumberlands (Ky.) in its last outing, dropping a 6-1 decision. Today marks the first-ever meeting between the two women's programs.
First serve is set for 2 p.m. CT.
