JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Butpapaporn Sukterm earned medalist honors at the Georgia State Invitational on Tuesday at Rivermont Golf Club.
The Blue Raiders carded a three-round score of 991 (317-329-345) to finish 15th on the par-72 5,945-yard course. The tournament field consisted of NCAA Division I, II, NAIA and NJCAA schools. Queens-Charlotte (N.C.) took home the team title with an 894 while Saint Leo (Fla.) finished runner-up with a 900.
Sukterm finished with an even-par 216 (71-71-74), edging out Queens-Charlotte's Jillian Fatkin by one shot. She recorded three birdies in the final round to give her 11 total for the tournament.
Pitchayapa Pungpho finished tied for 60th with a 240 (79-84-77) while
Tara Laverty carded a 252 (87-83-82).
Paige Gray – competing as an individual – finished with a 268 while
Kayla Saunders rounded out the Blue Raiders with a 305.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action for the Roadrunner Invitational on March 31 in Dalton, Georgia.
