WEST MONROE, La. – The Lindsey Wilson cycling team finished runner-up at the USA Cycling Collegiate BMX National Championships at Ike Hamilton Arena.
The Blue Raiders totaled 288 points in the team omnium to finish behind national champion Marian (Ind.) who totaled 320 points. Belmont Abbey (N.C.) finished third while Michigan State came in fourth.
"I'm happy with our performance this weekend," Lindsey Wilson Cycling Head Coach
Josh Patton said. "We had some bad luck with a couple of injuries and small mistakes during racing that cost us a chance at the title. A large portion of the roster is young in their college career, and we have a solid foundation to grow on going into the 2025-26 season."
Spencer Cole finished third in the men's individual omnium with 132 points while Ricky Carter tied for fourth with 120 points.
Sawyer Holly and Robert Connelly tied for seventh with 98 points.
Nicklas Haugen finished 10th, Lautero Merlo was 12th,
Ian Davis was 14th and
Noah Salisbury placed 16th.
On the women's side, Mekenna Martin finished runner-up with 128 points while
Caitlyn Farmer finished in sixth with 113 points.
Lilly Campbell also posted a top-10 finish coming in 10th with 86 points.
Zoe March finished 11th,
Layla Massey came in 12th,
Lola Petillo finished 13th,
Floriencia Haupt finished 14th and
Emma Ryan came in 17th.
