Archery Records Four Podium Finishes on Day Two of Outdoor Regionals; Four Earn All-Region Honors

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson archery team totaled four podium finishes on the final day of USA Archery Outdoor Regionals Friday at the UC All-Purpose Field.

With their four podium finishes on Friday, the Blue Raiders tallied 14 over the two days of competition.

Also taking place on Friday were the team and mixed team rounds of the Mid-South Conference Championships.

T Sanchez earned gold in men's recurve. After earning the top score on Thursday, Sanchez began competition on Friday defeating Pikveville's Kole Whalen 6-0 in the quarterfinals. He then advanced to the finals with a 6-2 win over Cumberlands' Brodie Vinson. Sanchez won gold with a 6-2 victory over teammate Tanner Boyd. Boyd defeated Cumberlands' Kevin Wilkerson 6-0 in the quarterfinals and teammate AJ Shagool 6-0 in the semifinals.

Parker Braddock earned bronze in men's compound. Braddock defeated teammate Seth Pipes in the second round to advance to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, he defeated teammate Turner Nevitt 144-143. Braddock was defeated by Cumberlands' Tanner Barker 147-144 in the semifinals before defeating Cumberlands' Landyn Cox 142-138 in the third-place match.

Anna Krampe finished third in women's compound. Krampe defeated Kentucky Christian's Eliana McDavid 144-142 and Cumberlands' Savannah Hoffman in the quarterfinals. She was defeated by Cumberlands' Marissa Harding 139-133 in the semifinals. Krampe defeated teammate Sophia Hunziger 137-119 in the third-place match.

Boyd, Wyatt Burtts, Audrey Mills, and Morgan Wilson all earned All-Region team honors based on their performances at indoor nationals and outdoor regionals.

In the team rounds, Lindsey Wilson recorded four podium finishes, capturing three championships.

Daniel Clayton, Boyd, and Shagool earned a bye into the finals of men's recurve team. The trio defeated Pikeville 6-0 to earn gold.

Braddock, Nevitt, and Ken Parsley earned a gold medal in men's compound team. In the semifinals, they defeated Union 223-222 and defeated Cumberlands 230-224 in the finals.

Wilson, Maria Sampson, and Sarah McCarthy teamed up in women's barebow. The trio defeated Pikeville 6-2 and earned gold with a 6-0 victory over Campbellsville in the finals.

Hunziger, Alea Boyd, and Linda Parsley finished runner-up in women's compound team. They punched their tickets to the finals with a 220-211 victory over Union in the semifinals. The trio was defeated by Cumberlands 227-216 in the finals.

TJ Ramsey, Dylan Langley, and Sean Neal earned bronze in men's barebow team. After falling to Pikeville 6-0 in the semifinals, the trio defeated Campbellsville 6-0 in the third-place match.

Burtts, Jaden Souder, and Bronson Ormes finished third in men's fixed pins team. They were defeated by Pikeville in the semifinals and beat Campbellsville to capture bronze.

The Blue Raiders tallied three podium finishes in the mixed team rounds. Braddock and Hunziger finished runner-up in mixed compound. The duo defeated Union 152-150 in the semifinals and fell to Cumberlands 148-145 in the finals.

Clayton and Layla Blevins finished third in mixed recurve after falling to Cumberlands 6-2 in the semifinals. Burtts and Mills earned bronze in mixed fixed pins. In the semifinals, they fell to Pikeville 145-127 and defeated Union 129-124 in the third-place match.

The Blue Raiders are back in action for the final day of the MSC Championships on Saturday morning.
