COLUMBIA, Ky. – First serve is set for 1 p.m. CT as the No. 6-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team and the No. 3-ranked women's team travel to Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday to close out Mid-South Conference regular season play. The men will take the courts first, with the women's match to follow upon completion.
Both matchups carry significant weight, as the winners will be crowned MSC regular season champions. All four teams enter the day unbeaten in conference play.
On the men's side, Lindsey Wilson (12-3, 5-0 MSC) will look to avenge last season's 5-2 home loss to the Patriots. The Blue Raiders carry momentum into Saturday after a 7-0 sweep of Georgetown (Ky.) on Wednesday and lead the all-time series against Cumberlands 40-8. The Patriots, ranked No. 16 nationally, hold a 15-6 overall record and most recently defeated Cumberland (Tenn.) 4-1.
The Blue Raiders have won five straight matches and have not lost in conference play this season. A victory would secure their first regular season conference title since 2022.
The women's match features two top-20 teams with identical goals. No. 3 Lindsey Wilson (13-2, 5-0 MSC) is coming off a dominant 7-0 sweep at Georgetown and holds a 40-7 lead in the all-time series with the Patriots. In their last meeting, the Blue Raiders blanked Cumberlands 7-0 in Columbia.
The No. 19-ranked Patriots (15-4) enter Saturday following a 5-2 win over Cumberland (Tenn.). Like their counterparts, they remain undefeated in MSC play, setting up a high-stakes battle for the regular season crown.
First serve for the men is set at 1 p.m. CT, women will follow right after.
