COLUMBIA, Ky. – The top-seeded Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team begins its Mid-South Conference Tournament run at 3 p.m. CT on Thursday against No. 5 seed Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) at the Warren County Tennis Facility.

The Blue Raiders earned an automatic bye into the semifinals after claiming the MSC regular season title with a 4-1 road victory over Cumberlands (Ky.) last week. It marked the team's first regular-season championship since 2022 and cemented their unbeaten run in conference play.

Lindsey Wilson (13-3) enters the tournament riding momentum, while the Lions (9-10) advanced with a narrow 4-3 win over No. 4 seed Bethel (Tenn.) in Wednesday's quarterfinals.

Freed-Hardeman claimed the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. In singles play, the Lions sealed the win with three-set victories from Maxime Guyon, Quentin Ferron, and Nolan Laduree in a back-and-forth battle.

The Blue Raiders previously faced Freed-Hardeman on April 2 in a dominant 4-0 win. In that match, Lindsey Wilson swept the doubles and controlled singles play to clinch the victory quickly. The Blue Raiders lead the all-time series 7-5.

Thursday's semifinal matchup is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. CT. The winner will move on to Friday's MSC championship match.
