Lindsey Wilson Women’s Track & Field Takes Part in Clark Wood Invitational, Gears Up for Mid-South Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson women's outdoor track and field team competed at the Clark Wood Invitational at Cardinal Track on Saturday.

On the track, Isabel Urrutia Lemus earned 13th place in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing third in her heat with a time of 14.31. She also competed in the 100-meter, posting a time of 12.47. Her Blue Raider teammates included Ophiellia Bernard, who clocked in at 12.70, Mayatu Brown at 12.80, and Deloris Boateng at 13.07 seconds. 



In the 200-meter, Kyra Engel ran a 25.88, while Charm Rone finished with a time of 26.48. Boateng placed second in her heat with a time of 27.24. In the 400-meter, Sancia Smith came in fourth in her heat, clocking 1:03.35. Olivia Rudder completed the 1500-meter with a time of 5:05.82. 



In the field events, Nevaeh Acklin placed 18th in the discus with a throw of 33.55 meters, while Reagan Cheatham was close behind in 20th with a throw of 33.04 meters. Cheatham also impressed in the shot put, finishing 14th overall and securing fourth place in her flight with a throw of 12.16 meters. In the long jump, Charm Rone leaped 5.20 meters for 26th place, while Destiny Barnes jumped 5.02 meters. 



The Blue Raiders will return to action on May 4th for the Mid-South Conference Outdoor Championships, which will be held at James H. Taylor II Stadium in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
