Women’s Golf Captures MSC Tournament Title; Sukterm Earns Medalist Honors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team captured the Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship Tuesday at Bowling Green Country Club.

The Blue Raiders capture their second-consecutive tournament title and ninth overall. With the victory, Lindsey Wilson earns the conference's automatic bid into the NAIA Women's Golf National Tournament.

Following the conclusion of the tournament, MSC officials announced the all-conference and individual award winners for the 2024-25 season. Butpaporn Sukterm was named the MSC Golfer of the Year while Pitchayapa Pungpho was named the Freshman of the Year. Puthita Khuanrudee earned Assistant Coach of the Year honors. Sukterm, Papatsara Niamrungrueang, and Pungpho earned First Team All-Conference honors. Tara Laverty and Kayla Saunders were named to the second team.

The Blue Raiders finished with a 5-over par 869 (287-295-287) beating runner-up Cumberlands (Ky.) by 59 shots. Lindsey Wilson's three round 869 is the second-lowest three round score in program history. The Blue Raiders led the tournament in par 3, 4 and 5 scoring going +1 on par 5s. Lindsey Wilson led the tournament in birdies with 39.
Sukterm finished with a 6-under 210 (69-69-72) finishing five shots ahead of Niamrungrueang. She led the field in par-3 scoring at-1 and was a tournament best -2 on par 4s. Sukterm also led the tournament in birdies with 14.

Niamrungrueang finished with a 215 (70-73-72) and led the tournament in par5 scoring at -4. She finished tied for second in birdies tallying nine over the three rounds. Pungpho finished third with a 218 (71-75-72) while recording nine birdies. Laverty posted a top-10 finish tying for eighth with a 234 (77-78-79) while Saunders finished 33rd with a 152 (81-71).

The Blue Raiders now turn their attention to the NAIA National Championship May 13-16 at Eagle Crest County Club in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
