OLD HICKORY, Tenn. – The No. 5-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's golf team sits tied for second after the first two rounds of the Music City Classic at Hermitage Golf Course on Monday.
Of the 17 teams competing in the tournament, 14 of the 17 are ranked or receiving votes in the current NAIA Coaches' Poll. The Blue Raiders carded a 7-over par 583 (296-287) to be tied with No. 9 SCAD Atlanta (Ga.). Lindsey Wilson sits 13 shots back from leader No. 2 Keiser (Fla.) heading into Tuesday's final round. The Blue Raiders are second in the tournament in par-5 scoring at -1.
Lindsey Wilson holds two spots in the top five of the individual leaderboard.
Butpapaporn Sukterm is third with a 4-under par 140 (71-69) while
Pitchayapa Pungpho is fourth with a 141 (70-71). Sukterm is tied for second in the tournament with eight birdies while Pungpho has recorded 27 pars which is tied for third most.
Papatsara Niamrungrueang is tied for 35th with a 151 (76-75) and
Tara Laverty is tied for 40th after carding a 152 (80-72).
Kayla Saunders is 54th with a 155 (79-76) and
Holly Murphy – competing as an individual – is tied for 60th with a 157.
The third and final round of the Music City Classic gets underway on Tuesday morning at Hermitage Golf Course.
