YPSILANTI, Mich.  – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team opened play on Tuesday at the NAIA National Championship at Eagle Crest Golf Club.
 
The first round was suspended due to darkness and will finish on Wednesday with round two to follow.
 
The Blue Raiders carded a 28-over-par 316 on the par-72 5,895-yard course and are tied for 12th. Lindsey Wilson began play on the front nine Tuesday. The Blue Raiders carded eight birdies and 48 pars in the first round.
 
Butpapaporn Sukterm posted the best Lindsey Wilson finish in round one with a 3-over par 75 and is tied for ninth. Sukterm recorded two birdies on the front nine, including one on hole nine to get to +1. Following back-to-back bogey on 11 and 12, she recorded pars on the final six holes.
 
Pitchayapa Pungpho carded a 77 and is tied for 27th. Pungpho recorded three birdies and 11 pars in the first round. Tara Laverty is tied for 57th with an 80 while Kayla Saunders carded an 84. Holly Murphy rounds out the Blue Raider scoring with an 86.
 
As of now, the Blue Raiders are scheduled to tee off at 11:30 a.m. CT from hole 10 on Wednesday
