YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team is tied for seventh heading into Friday's final round of the NAIA National Championship at Eagle Crest Golf Club.
The Blue Raiders put together their best round of the championship with a 10-over par 298 on the par-72 5,982-yard course. Through three rounds, Lindsey Wilson has a total score of 918 (316-304-298). The Blue Raiders' 298 is the best score in program history for a round at the National Championship. Lindsey Wilson has recorded the fifth-most birdies through three rounds with 29.
Butpapaporn Sukterm moved up one spot to third with a 1-under par 71. Through three rounds, Sukterm is -1 with a 215 (75-69-71). She went -1 on the front nine Thursday and was even-par over her final nine holes. Sukterm sits five shots behind Jessica Ng of British Columbia going into the final round. Through three rounds, Sukterm has carded the third-most birdies with 11.
Pitchayapa Pungpho sits tied for 23rd with a 227 (77-75-75). Pungpho was +4 after the first nine holes on Thursday and bounced back on the back nine, going 1-under.
Holly Murphy is tied for 56th after a 75 bringing her total to 238 (86-77-75).
Tara Laverty moved is tied for 62nd with a 240 (80-83-77).
Kayla Saunders carded her best round of the tournament with a 77, moving her into a tie for 69th with a total of 244 (84-83-77).
The Blue Raiders return to the course for the final round of the NAIA National Championship on Friday at Eagle Crest Golf Club.
