YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team wrapped up play at the NAIA National Championship Friday at Eagle Crest Golf Club with a ninth-place finish.
The ninth-place finish is the seventh top-10 finish at the NAIA Tournament in program history. Lindsey Wilson finished the tournament with a 71-over-par 1223 (316-304-298-305). The Blue Raiders' four-round 1223 is the best score in program history for a round at the National Tournament. Lindsey Wilson finished the tournament with the seventh-most birdies with 35.
Butpapaporn Sukterm earned All-Tournament team honors with her third-place finish. Sukterm finished with an even-par 288 (75-69-71-73). She finished the tournament -1 on par 3s and par 5s and was sixth-most birdies in the tournament with 12.
Pitchayapa Pungpho finished 16th with a 301 (77-75-75-74) while
Tara Laverty was 64th with a 319 (80-83-77-79).
Holly Murphy finished right behind Laverty with a 320 (86-77-75-82) while
Kayla Saunders finished 70th, carding a 323 (84-83-77-79).
Cumberlands was the other Mid-South Conference school at the championship and finished 12th with 1242.
British Columbia took home the team title with a 1169 while Keiser (Fla.) finished runner-up with a 1193. British Columbia's Jessica Ng won the individual title with a 5-under 283.
