LANSING, Mich. – The Lindsey Wilson archery team recorded four podium finishes on the second day of the USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals Saturday at the Hope Sports Complex.
The Blue Raiders earned one silver medal and three bronze medals in the team rounds to close out their championship.
T Sanchez,
Tanner Boyd, and Danile Clayton posted a runner-up finish in men's recurve team. The trio defeated Pikeville (Ky.) 6-2 in the quarterfinals and punched their ticket to the finals with a 6-2 victory over James Madison (Va.). In the finals, they were defeated by Texas A&M 6-2.
Austin Taylor,
Turner Nevitt, and
Parker Braddock teamed up in men's compound and finished third. In the quarterfinals, they defeated Pennsylvania College of Technology 219-208. They were defeated by Cumberlands (Ky.) 218-213 in the semifinals before defeating Union (Ky.) 222-210 to earn bronze.
Tyler Tollle,
TJ Ramsey and
Dylan Langley finished third in men's barebow. The trio defeated James Madison 5-4 in the quarterfinals before falling to Cumberlands 5-4 in the semifinals. In the bronze medal match, they defeated Pikeville 6-0.
In men's fixed pins team,
Gus Burtts,
Wyatt Burtts, and
Bronson Ormes earned a bronze medal. They defeated Union 192-184 in the quarterfinals before falling to Pikeville 199-197 in the semifinals. The trio defeated Montevallo (Ala.) 207-192 to win bronze.
