MARION, Ind. – The Lindsey Wilson track and field team battled the wind and the rain on day one of the NAIA Men's and Women's Outdoor National Championships Wednesday at the Wildcat Track & Field Complex.
The women's 4x100-meter relay team of
Kayly Guthrie,
Hannah Reid,
Jermani Morris and
Jozlen Brisbon got the day started for the Blue Raiders. The quartet finished fifth in their heat and 14th overall with a time of 47.25 seconds.
Justin Stearns competed in the 1,500-meter finishing in 20th with a time of 4:08.00.
Reid and Guthrie returned to the track later in the afternoon for the 200. Reid posted a 10th-place finish with a time of 24.65 missing out on the finals by .12 seconds. Guthrie finished in 17th with a time of 25.01.
The Blue Raiders return to the track for day two of the NAIA National Championships on Thursday at the Wildcat Track & Field Complex.
