2024-25 Rewind: Men's Track & Field

7/30/2025 11:00:00 AM

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's track and field team earned runner-up finishes at both the Mid-South Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championships, as part of eight top-10 efforts during the 2024-25 season.

Maxwell Wordui and Lorenzo Luces claimed NAIA national championships in the outdoor long jump and triple jump, respectively, the program's first in each event in seven years. It is also the first time the program saw different champions in multiple events in the same year.

Wordui's season-best leap of 7.75 meters at the Tennessee Invitational broke an eight-year-old school record and was one of nine program records set during the season.

Demarcus Robertson in the 100-meter dash (outdoor), Daniel Otibo in the 400-meter dash (outdoor), Campbell Rawlings in the 60-meter dash (indoor), David Requejo Hernandez in the 300-meter dash (indoor), Royce Mentor IV in the 600-meter run (indoor), and Marti Molins in the 1,000-meter run (indoor) claimed new school records in individual events, while Miah Chatmond, Enric Fernandez, Otibo, and Mentor bested the school record in the indoor 4x400-meter relay, and Logan Bullock, Justin Stearns, Molins, and Requejo Hernandez topped the program mark in the indoor distance medley relay.
