INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Lindsey Wilson cycling team posted a sixth-place finish at the USA Cycling Collegiate Track National Championships on Sunday at the Indy Cycloplex.
The Blue Raiders totaled 504 points over the four-day championship to finish sixth. Marian (Ind.) took home the national championship with 1,000 points while Milligan (Tenn.) finished runner-up with 918 points. Colorado Mesa finished third with 916 points.
In the men's individual omnium, Ferran Marce finished 25th with 67 points while
Angelo Petris placed 27th with 60. On the women's side,
Lilly Campbell tallied 34 points while
Caitlyn Farmer and
Zoe March each recorded 16.
March, Campbell, Florencia Haupt and Farmer competed in the women's team pursuit earning bronze with a time of 6:10.9. In the men's pursuit final,
Ricky Carter, Marce, and Petris took bronze, finishing in 5:46.8.
Marce and Carter competed in the men's sprint final, finishing in 33rd and 35th, respectively. Campbell finished 22nd in the women's sprint while Farmer posted a 26th-place finish. March and Haupt finished 30th and 31st, respectively.
Campbell posted a 26th-place finish in the women's kilo time trial, Farmer finished 34th, March finished 36th, and Haupt finished 39th.
Petris placed 16th in the men's points race, and Ferran finished 21st. Marce finished 15th in the men's scratch race while Petris placed 19th. March, Campbell, Marce, and Petris teamed up in the co-ed team sprint, finishing in seventh with a time of 2:25.
