VERSAILLES, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men's cross country team finished runner-up at the Midway XC Invitational Friday at Falling Springs Park.

The Blue Raiders tallied 62 points in the 8K race finishing right behind Cumberland (Tenn.) who had 45. Midway (Ky.) finished third tallying 75 points.
Pacing the Blue Raiders was Freshman Dashawn Overly. Overly had a fantastic race, finishing in second-place overall out of 57 runners with a time of 26:47.86. He had the best finish of Mid-South Conference runners at the event. Fellow freshman Ashton Johnson was the second runner from LWU to cross. Johnson finished with a time of 28:30.92 which placed him in 12th overall. Yet another freshman, Isaac Wells, placed 17th, with a time of 28:56.45. Sophomore Bryce Clayton was right behind Wells finishing in 18th place with a time of 29:03.22. 

Senior Kevin Cuin finished in 26th-place (30:05.33), while freshman Landon Franich finished in 28th-place (30:27.96). Junior Zach McCaslin finished with a time of 30:37.64 which was good for 31st, while newcomer Mason Magyar was two spots behind in 33rd with a time of 30:48.26. The final Lindsey runner was Xavier Smith, who finished in 45th with a time of 33:35.96. 

The Blue Raiders return to action at the Louisville Classic on Saturday, October 4th in Louisville, Kentucky.
