MADISONVILLE, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson archery team competed on the first day of the Mid-South Conference Indoor Championship on Friday at the Western Kentucky Archery Complex.
Only men's and women's barebow and recurve qualifying took place on Friday.
In men's recurve, the Blue Raiders held three of the top five spots.
AJ Shagool carded the second-best score with a 515 (265-250) with 14 10s. Shagool's 265 in the first round was the second-highest score in qualifying.
Mac Collins finished in third with a 474 (239-235) with 14 10s.
Zach Jackson finished right behind Collins with a 457 (221-236).
Micah Bettersworth posted the highest-qualifying score for the Blue Raiders in women's recurve. Bettersworth carded a 536 (270-266) while recording 19 10s to finish fourth.
Carlee Drury finished 15th with a 459 (219-240) while
Raylee Yadon carded a 388 (198-190) to place 19th.
Lindsey Wilson had three top-10 finishes in men's barebow qualifying.
Keegan Benton led the way with a fifth-place finish. Benton carded a 486 (255-231) with nine 10s.
LaQuann Williams finished with a 379 (201-178) to finish eighth.
Dylan Langley finished right behind Williams with a 372 (192-180).
Anastacia Godman posted a runner-up finish in women's barebow. Godman finished with a 483 (238-245) while recording nine 10s.
Maria Sampson carded a 414 (201-213) to finish eighth, while
Morgan Wilson was ninth with a 408 (204-204).
Day two of the MSC Indoor Championship gets underway on Saturday morning at the Western Kentucky Archery Complex.
