Gorska and Medina lead Women's Swimming in Last Chance Invitational

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's swimming team posted six national times among 11 victories during the Highway 55 Last Chance Invitational on Friday at the Holloway Natatorium.

Natalia Gorska clinched all three of her individual wins with NAIA provisional standards, including the 50 freestyle -- 25.46, --  100 backstroke -- 59.28, -- and 200 backstroke -- 2:12.20. Her teammate Nathalie Medina turned in a similar day with three national cuts of her own, taking the 500 freestyle -- 5:24.44, -- 200 butterfly -- 2:10.58, -- and the 200 freestyle -- 2:00.31.

Lara Reis contributed a pair of wins. The freshman bested the field in the 100 freestyle and the 200 individual medley.

Lindsey Wilson's last solo triumph of the day came from Sara Motyl who claimed the 100 individual medley.

Both relays went the Blue Raiders' way, starting with Medina, Gorska, Hannah Woyscheszik, and Ela Cippico in the 400 freestyle before the quartet of Gorska, Motyl, Cippico, and Emma Verkuijl claimed the 200 medley.

Lindsey Wilson concludes its regular season of meets and now turns its attention to the Mid-South Conference Championships, February 5-7 at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.
