HUNTINGTON, W.V. – The Lindsey Wilson indoor track and field teams travel to Huntington, West Virginia, for the Marshall Alumni Classic on Saturday at 9 a.m. CT at the Chris Cline Athletic Complex.
The Blue Raiders opened the 2025-26 indoor season on December 6 at the Commonwealth College Opener in Louisville, Kentucky. The men's team finished second with 122 points, while the women's team finished third with 63 points.
Several athletes turned in top performances. For the men,
Daniel Otibo broke the school record in the 600 meters with a time of 1:21.05, finishing second.
Maxwell Wordui won the long jump at 7.45 meters, meeting the NAIA "A" standard and setting a facility record. In the triple jump,
Jayden Wentz took first at 14.63 meters and
Lorenzo Luces placed second at 14.58 meters, both meeting the "A" standard.
On the women's side,
Selena Johnson was the lone athlete to reach an NAIA standard, finishing third in the triple jump at 11.83 meters for the "B" standard.
Rosemond Owusu won the high jump at 1.65 meters and took third in the long jump at 5.46 meters, setting a personal record. Ta'Shya Cramer was second in the 400 meters at 59.47, and
Jermani Morris placed third in the 200 meters at 25.66. Personal records were also set by
Elaina Holliday in the long jump and
Reagan Cheatham in the shot put and weight throw, as well as
Zoe Wilson in the mile.
The Blue Raiders will look to build on their strong season opener as they compete at the Marshall Alumni Classic on Saturday at the Chris Cline Athletic Complex.
