RICHMOND, Ky. - The No. 4-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's golf team placed third in the Gibson Bay Invitational on Tuesday at Gibson Bay GCS. 

The Blue Raiders carded an 11-over-par 875 (290-292-293) on the par-72, 7,019-yard course. The Blue Raiders tallied 33 birdies and 177 pars over the three days. No. 22-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.) won the tournament recording a 15-under-par 849 (279-279-292). 

Valtteri Katevuo had the lowest score for the Blue Raiders, finishing tied for sixth place after carding a one-under-par 215(74-70-71). Katevuo recorded 39 pars, eight birdies, and scored even on par 3s during the tournament. Philip Kittoff Jr. (71-75-73) and Toby White (72-74-73) finished tied for 13th with a 219. White finished 2nd in the tournament in pars with 41. James Gibb recorded a 226 (73-77-76) and Robbie Welsh scored a 229 (77-73-79). 

The Lindsey Wilson B Team finished fifth after carding a 19-over-par 883 (295-291-297). Charlie Jones finished tied for eighth recording an even 216 (72-70-74). Jones recorded 12 birdies, which was the most by a Blue Raider this tournament. Ronan Nayar placed tied for 18th after carding a 221 (77-72-72). In his collegiate debut, Nayar recorded 11 birdies and 29 pars. Scott Newman finished tied for 21st, recording a 222 (72-73-77). Arvid Olsson placed tied for 23rd after carding a 224 (74-76-74). Mattias Mehto finished the tournament with a 245. 

The Blue Raiders return to Tennessee next week to compete in The Club at Five Oaks Invitational in Lebanon, Tennessee.
