COLUMBIA, Ky. – Fresh off a record-breaking performance at Shawnee State (Ohio) on Wednesday, the Lindsey Wilson men's and women's swimming teams return to the road Saturday for an early-season conference dual against Cumberlands (Ky.).

According to Swimcloud's dual rankings, the Patriot women are ranked first in the NAIA, while the men sit fifth. Lindsey Wilson's women are ranked seventh, and the men are ninth.

Cumberlands is coming off a split against Carson-Newman (Tenn.) on Oct. 3. The Patriot women recorded 16 national cuts in their victory, while the men added 13 provisional cuts but fell to the Eagles, 168.5-105.5.

Cumberlands' Alisa Radygina (200 backstroke) and Karl von Thun (200 butterfly) currently hold the fastest times in the NAIA in their respective events.

For Lindsey Wilson, Sergio Ybarra's extracted 1,000-yard freestyle time of 9:25.10 is currently the fastest in the NAIA. The junior also set the national record in the 800-meter freestyle during the Blue Raiders' victory at Shawnee State on Wednesday.

Nathalie Medina's converted time of 11:12.68 ranks fifth nationally in the 1,000-yard freestyle, just behind Cumberlands' Juliana Lopez Morales and Michelle Weiss, who rank third and fourth, respectively.

Natalia Gorska owns the Blue Raider women's top times this season in five events, including the 100- and 200-yard backstroke and the 50-, 100-, and 200-yard freestyle.

On the men's side, Bruno Mendonca's time of 52.05 in the 100-yard backstroke leads the Mid-South Conference.

The Blue Raider men defeated Cumberlands in the programs' first meeting on Nov. 23, 2010, but have come up short in each of the last 10 duals against the Patriots. The Lindsey Wilson women, meanwhile, are seeking their first dual victory over Cumberlands.
