WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team received standout individual performances in a 182-88 dual loss to Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday.

Bruno Mendonça swept the 100- and 200-yard backstroke events for the Blue Raiders. He won the 100 backstroke with an NAIA provisional time of 52.05 seconds before completing the sweep in the 200 backstroke, winning by 1.28 seconds.

Sergio Ybarra added another victory for Lindsey Wilson, edging the field in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 9:35.21 to win by 0.43 seconds. He also reached the NAIA provisional standard in the 500 freestyle, placing second with a time of 4:41.11.

Colin Maron narrowly missed a national standard in the 50 freestyle but recorded a personal-best time of 21.65 seconds to finish second. Maron and Lav Putnik also established career-best times in the 100 freestyle. Putnik touched the wall in 47.87 seconds, while Maron finished in 48.49.

The Blue Raiders return to the water at 11 a.m. CT Saturday, Nov. 7, when they host Campbellsville (Ky.) and Carson-Newman (Tenn.) at Holloway Natatorium.
