COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team is ranked fifth in the first regular-season NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Wednesday.
The Blue Raiders earned 258 points to remain at their preseason ranking. Lindsey Wilson is 1-0 this season after defeating Kentucky Wesleyan 7-0 back on January 31. The Blue Raiders open play at the ITA NAIA Indoor National Championship on Friday against No. 3 Tennessee Wesleyan at 1 p.m. CT in Rome, Georgia.
Cumberlands (Ky.) and Cumberland (Tenn.) also represent the Mid-South Conference in the top 25. The Patriots are ranked eighth with 228 points, while the Phoenix earned 116 points in 19th.
Keiser (Fla.) sits atop the poll with 299 points and 10 of the 11 first-place votes. Georgia Gwinnett is slotted second with 290 points and the final first-place vote. Southeastern (Fla.) sits in fourth with 270 points.
Lindsey Wilson opens play at the ITA NAIA Indoor National Championships on Friday at 1 p.m. CT against Tennessee Wesleyan at the Rome Tennis Center.
