No. 13 Women’s Basketball to Face No. 2 Lions Thursday and No. 3 Wildcats Saturday

COLUMBIA, Ky.- The No. 13-ranked Blue Raider women's basketball team is headed to Tennessee to face the No. 2 Lions of Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) on Thursday at 5:30 P.M. CT and the No. 3 Wildcats of Bethel (Tenn.) on Saturday at 1 P.M. CT. 

Lindsey Wilson sits at 20-4 on the season and holds a 6-2 record in the Mid-South Conference. The Blue Raiders most recent win came on Saturday in Circleville, Ohio after defeating Ohio Christian 86-63. Meadow Tisdale leads the LWU offense in MSC play with 17.8 points and 7.0 boards. Amelia Hodges adds 11.5 points on 36.4 percent shooting from behind the arc. Taylor Guess contributes 11.4 points while averaging 80.4 percent from the charity stripe. Saniyah Shelton rounds out the double-figure scoring with 10.1 points and tallies 4.4 assists a night. 

Freed-Hardeman (22-2, 7-2 MSC) is coming off of a 60-46 defeat after falling to Bethel (Tenn.) on Saturday. Jenna Satterly leads the Lions offensive front in MSC play averaging 16.1 points a night and shooting 58.6 percent from behind the three point line. Lilly Kee contributes 15.3 points a night on 60.5 percent shooting from the floor. Ally Weathers and Rachel Satterly round out the double-figure scoring with 12.7 points and 12.6 points a game, respectively.

Thursday's meeting marks game 17 between the two programs with Lindsey Wilson leading the all-time series 9-7. The two teams met last on January 15, when LWU took the 70-63 victory at home. The Blue Raiders sit at 3-3 when facing the Lions in Brewer Sports Center. 

Bethel holds a 22-3 record on the season and sits at 7-2 in MSC play with its most recent win coming against Freed-Hardeman 60-46 on Thursday. Micah Hart heads the offense during MSC play averaging 22.6 points and 46.5 percent from behind the arc.  Mikee Buchanan adds 14.2 points a contest on 42.12 percent shooting from the floor. Madison Hart rounds out the double-figure scoring with 13.1 points while shooting 76.7 percent from the charity stripe. 

Saturday's meeting between the Blue Raiders and Wildcats mark meeting 18 with Bethel leading the all-time series 11-6. The Wildcats took the most recent match-up on January 17, in a 84-73 decision in Biggers Sports Center. 

Women's hoops will tip off against Freed-Hardeman on Thursday at 5:30 P.M. CT inside Brewer Sports Center and will face Bethel on Saturday at 1 P.M. CT in Crisp Arena.
