COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 24-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's wrestling team is scheduled to compete against the No. 8-ranked Campbellsville (Ky.) Tigers on Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT at Gosser Gymnasium.
Lindsey Wilson is coming off two consecutive Mid-South Conference dual losses to No. 11 Cumberland (Tenn.) and No. 7 Cumberlands (Ky.), making them 3-2 in conference duals this season.
Miguel Perez went 5-0 at the Cumberland Open on Sunday, capturing the title at 285 pounds, and was named the MSC Wrestler of the Week on Monday. The Blue Raiders currently have three individual wrestlers ranked.
Adrian Ayala (No. 4 at 141),
Emmanuel Celestine (No. 21 at 157), and
Cory Cannan (No. 7 at 184).
Campbellsville enters Tuesday's dual with a 1-1 record in the MSC. The Tigers have eight individuals ranked. Izaeah Beavers (No. 14 at 133), Nick Moore (No. 9 at 141), Nicholas Yancey (No. 9 at 149), Antwuan Burns (No. 14 at 157), Jasitin Kubwimana (No. 4 at 165), Shadrick Slone (No. 7 at 174), Brice Parks (No. 9 at 184), and Ashton Boswell (No. 12 at 197). We expect to see three highly competitive matches for Ayala, Chelestin, and Cannan.
