Mid-South Conference Bowling Championships Set for Southern Lanes

2/4/2026 4:25:00 PM

COLUMBIA, Ky. - Lindsey Wilson bowling heads west to Bowling Green this week for the 2026 Mid-South Conference men's and women's bowling championships at Southern Lanes.

This year's tournament features all 10 conference schools in a double-elimination style arrangement. All games played in the winners' bracket will use a Mega-Match format, with the consolation bracket using a best-of-7 Baker format.

The Mega-Match features a best-of-3 format. In the first set, five bowlers bowl a traditional game with the highest pinfall winning the point. In the second set, total pinfall in five Baker games wins the point. If neither team has reached two points, a third set is played. In the third set, the two teams compete in a best-of-7 Baker format match.

Lindsey Wilson women are seeded at No. 8 for their opening round series against No. 9 Campbellsville (Ky.) at 9:45 a.m. CT on Thursday.

Freshman Shayla Bockelman sports a 153.0 average across seven events rolled this season. She and fellow freshmen Kristalyn Taylor and Katelyn Lewis each have a pair of top-10 finishes. Taylor enters the postseason on a 145.8 average, while Lewis comes in a 143.7.

The Blue Raider women went 1-2 in bracket play during the 2025 conference tournament, defeating Union Commonwealth (Ky.) 4-0 in the consolation bracket before bowing out to eventual tournament runner-up Cumberland (Tenn.).

Another freshman, Connor Woosley leads the Lindsey Wilson men behind a season average of 207.9. He is one of four Blue Raiders' with a top-five finish this year, alongside Nick Blakey, Connor Fromme, and Patrick Printup.

Blakey boasts a 196.5 average through five events bowled, and Fromme stands at 182.0. John Sisco -- 178.6, -- Cole Greathouse -- 175.9, -- and Braxton Crook -- 175.6 -- all open postseason play above a 175 average.

In 2025, the Blue Raider men advanced to the final round of the consolation bracket but fell to Tennessee Wesleyan to clinch a second consecutive top-three finish. With the No. 6 seed in hand, the men move through to the second round to challenge No. 3 Pikeville (Ky.) at 1:15 p.m. CT on Thursday.

Tickets for the tournament can be purchased at the gate or in advance on the Mid-South Conference website.
